The New Black Panther Party (NBPP) has a new head hater.
The virulently racist and anti-Semitic organization announced last week that its leader, Malik Zulu Shabazz, was stepping down and would be replaced by chief of staff, Hashim Nzinga.
In making the announcement on the group’s online radio broadcast, Shabazz, according to the Anti-Defamation League, said that he was resigning his post as party chairman to focus on his career as a lawyer with the Black Lawyers for Justice, an organization he founded in 1996.
For anyone concerned that the harsh tone of the NBPP will change with his departure, don’t worry. ( continue to full post… )
Editor’s note: The Daily News reported late today that the victim in the attack described below has died.
A black New York City man who police say punched and critically injured a 62-year-old retiree last week after reportedly shouting “I’m going to punch the first white man I see” is scheduled to appear in court for the second time tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, the authorities are trying to determine whether the unprovoked and random attack last week near the chess boards at Union Square was a hate crime or the senseless act of a mentally disturbed man. “It’s still under investigation,” a spokesman for the New York City Police Department told Hatewatch today. A little over a year ago, Matthew Heimbach was annoying fellow students at Towson University with juvenile stunts like chalking “White Pride” and “White Guilt is Over” on sidewalks of the Maryland campus.
But in the last few months, since graduating at the end of the spring semester, Heimbach has been turning into a full-fledged neo-Nazi. No longer content with softer groups like the White Student Union that he started at Towson, Heimbach now rails about “conniving Jews,” goes on talk shows like that hosted by neo-Nazi David Duke, approvingly quotes terrorist assassin David Lane, wears a pistol when addressing a leading racist group, and calls for violent revolution.
“Revolution is the only answer to our plight,” Heimbach wrote in a post today on the Traditionalist Youth Network (TYN), an umbrella group he formed this spring with Indiana native Matthew Parrot and which now includes the White Student Union. “Our ancestors fought against the scabs, bosses, capitalists and Jews to make a better future for their children. Now we must do the same.” ( continue to full post… )
‘War is On,’ Writes DHS Employee Who Operates Racist, Homophobic Website Calling for Killing of Whites
The war is on! The smallhats (white so-called jews) have stepped it up.
So begins a defiant screed posted this weekend on the Facebook page of War on the Horizon (WOH), the anti-white, anti-LGBT website operated by Ayo Kimathi, a black Department of Homeland Security employee.
Kimathi was put on paid administrative leave last Friday after his double life – DHS employee by day, angry, homophobic racist by night – was confirmed and reported by Hatewatch on August 21. Kimathi, a small business specialist, works for a unit of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that is responsible for procuring such items as handcuffs, ammunition and guns. By day, Ayo Kimathi works for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as a small business specialist in a unit that buys such items as handcuffs, ammunition and guns.
Off-duty, he calls himself “the Irritated Genie.” He’s a gay-bashing, revenge-seeking black nationalist who advocates on his website – War on the Horizon – the mass murder of whites and the “ethnic cleansing” of “black-skinned Uncle Tom race traitors.”
“Warfare is eminent,” the website declares, “and in order for Black people to survive the 21st century, we are going to have to kill a lot of whites – more than our Christian hearts can possibly count.” ( continue to full post… )
An infamous leader of the racist New Black Panther Party, known nationally for his boiling hatred of white people and apparent attempt to intimidate voters in 2008, is slated to appear in a New York City courtroom today to face charges of illegally carrying a loaded, unlicensed handgun and wearing prohibited body armor.
The Philadelphia Daily News reports that King Samir Shabazz, whose real name the newspaper said was Maruse Heath, was arrested last Thursday in Harlem, where he was reportedly helping plan a march this September to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Million Youth March. That rally, led by another white-hating black nationalist, featured exhortations to kill police and dozens of arrests.
The Daily News also quoted Shabazz speaking on a presumably recent “black-power radio show,” although it did not say when he spoke. Shabazz reportedly said that black people should form militias to kill whites, attack them with pit bulls, pour acid on them and raid nursery schools to “kill everything white in sight.” Shabazz, who is the Panther’s national field marshal, added, “I would love nothing better than to come home with a cracker’s head in my book bag,” the paper reported. Police arrested a suspect today in the racially charged beating of a white man who was left in critical condition after being attacked on his porch by what witnesses said was a group of about 20 African Americans, one of whom reportedly said, “Now that’s justice for Trayvon.”
The suspect, Terry Rawls, 44, has a lengthy criminal record, including convictions for assault, burglary, theft and firing a weapon into a building or vehicle, according to the Mobile Press-Register. Police said more arrests are possible.
Local officials appear to be attempting to tamp down speculation that the attack on Matthew Owens was some form of retaliation for the killing of Trayvon Martin, the unarmed African-American teen who was shot by a neighborhood watch volunteer in Sanford, Fla., in February. Police in Mobile, Ala., are investigating the beating of a white man who is in critical condition after being attacked by a group of African Americans.
The victim, Matthew Owens, had earlier argued with kids who were playing basketball in the street last Saturday night, police said. The youngsters left, but a group of adults returned and beat Owens with brass knuckles, paint cans, pipes and chairs.
Owens’ sister, who witnessed the attack, said that about 20 people attacked Owens on the front porch of his house. She said that as they left, one said, “Now that’s justice for Trayvon.” ( continue to full post… )
One of the teens charged with the brutal beating and murder of an African-American man in Jackson, Miss., is now charged with capital murder. Police in Ann Arbor, Mich., are investigating the assault of a man as a possible hate crime. A judge in the conspiracy trial of members of the Alaska Peacemakers Militia has thrown out the sole criminal charge against one of the defendants. Rachel A. Barney was accused of hindering the prosecution of the five other defendants, including her husband, for hiding militia leader Schaeffer Cox in her house. The remaining defendants are still charged with planning to kidnap and murder Alaska state officials.
Two of three New Mexico men charged with branding a mentally handicapped man with a swastika have pleaded guilty to federal hate crime charges. Paul Beebe, 28, and Jesse Sanford, 26, were accused of the branding as well as writing white supremacist phrases on him. The men pleaded guilty as part of a plea deal that reduced their possible sentences from up to 35 years to 8.5 years.
Defense lawyers for a California teen accused of a hate crime murder are attempting to disqualify the trial judge. Brandon McInerney is accused of shooting a gay 15-year-old classmate because of his sexual orientation. McInerney’s attorneys argue that the judge gave too much leeway to the prosecution in witnesses and evidence.
Police in West Allis, Wis., have announced that they will pursue hate crime charges against at least one teen for the recent rash of flash mob attacks at the Wisconsin State Fair. One suspect told police that he picked out white people because they were “easy targets.”
A Santa Barbara, Calif., man was attacked by a white supremacist wielding a long pair of scissors, according to the victim’s friend. The friend told police the victim, an African-American man, was stabbed in the neck and face by a man with white supremacist tattoos who began harassing them as they walked down the street.
A Michigan lawmaker is pushing legislation to ban the use of “foreign laws” in U.S. courts. Activists claim it’s a thinly veiled attack on Shariah, or Muslim religious, law. If enacted, Michigan would be the third state to implement such a prohibition.
Police in Pasadena, Calif., are searching for suspects who have spread offensive graffiti throughout the city. The graffiti has included racist slurs, homophobic slurs, and swastikas, which have been plastered across residential and commercial buildings, as well as city buildings.
