Minjon Tholen

Minjon Tholen is the global head of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) at Human Rights Watch, an international human rights organization. She was previously the chief inclusion and strategic innovation officer at Amnesty International USA and a senior consultant at a leading DEI consulting firm. She specializes in aligning organizations with their values through inclusive culture innovation, organizational transformation and change management. Born in Sri Lanka and raised in the Netherlands, Tholen holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utrecht and a master’s degree in gender and women’s studies from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
