Sarah Burke
Sarah Burke is the Southern Poverty Law Center’s director of marketing, overseeing direct marketing, digital fundraising and monthly giving efforts. She also develops innovative marketing strategies to amplify the SPLC’s mission.
Burke, who has more than 15 years of multichannel marketing expertise, has developed award-winning direct marketing and digital campaigns to help build strong brands and increase revenue.
Previously, she was associate publisher of development at The Nation magazine, where she helped develop new and sustainable revenue streams and oversaw email strategy. Earlier in her career, she worked as a consultant for Chapman Cubine Adams + Hussey (now MissionWired), managing direct mail fundraising programs for some of the country’s largest and most respected organizations.
Burke has a master’s degree in nonprofit leadership from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in media and communications from Muhlenberg College.
