A large turnout for the funerals of George Dorsey and his sister, Dorothy Dorsey Malcolm, after they and two others were killed by a white mob in rural north Georgia in what’s known as the “Last Mass Lynching in America” on July 25, 1946. The investigation into the deaths officially closed Monday, January 29, 2018, with no charges ever filed.
