Well, don’t believe the hype. Edwards finally revealed the details of his show’s new arrangement earlier this week, and it turns out that whoever he may have started out talking with, the syndication deal he actually landed is with Dixie Broadcasting, a minor Internet radio outfit run by Ray McBerry, the chairman of the Georgia chapter of the League of the South, a neo-confederate, white supremacist group.
Since Political Cesspool is already broadcast on the Internet as well as the Memphis, Tenn., Christian radio station WLRM-AM (“We Love Radio Ministries”), it’s hard to see what McBerry gains from the deal unless Political Cesspool is paying him, rather than the other way around.
“The Cesspool staff, all being ardently pro-South, couldn’t be happier with our newest association,” Edwards stated on his website.
According to Edwards’ announcement, Political Cesspool will debut on Dixie Broadcasting Dec. 3.
