Innovative Online Hate-Crime Training Course Is Launched
The Center's Intelligence Project now offers hate crime training for law enforcement officers, and offers partial scholarships.
A new approach to hate-crime training, an online program that offers law enforcement officers college credit or continuing education credit, begins April 3.
Sponsored by the Center in cooperation with Auburn University Montgomery and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the course was designed to help remedy the massive underreporting of hate crimes throughout the nation. (Read more about hate crime reporting on Tolerance.org.)
To encourage participation, the Center is offering partial scholarships.
