During the three-day trial, jurors heard testimony about the brutal beating of Jordan Gruver by Klansmen who were recruiting at a county fair in Brandenburg, Ky.
Among the witnesses was a former Klansman who testified that IKA Imperial Wizard Ron Edwards instructed him to kill SPLC founder Morris Dees in the late 1990s when the SPLC was suing the Aryan Nations. The plot was foiled by an undercover FBI operation, and the would-be assassin served three years in federal prison. Edwards was never charged.
