President Trump’s call for a suspension of due process for immigrants shows his utter contempt for the rule of law, the Constitution and our democratic values.
Trump should know that the due process clause of the Fifth Amendment protects everyone, including non-citizens.
This president is not above the law and cannot simply wave his wand – or in this case send an impulsive tweet – to remove someone’s rights, no matter what he might think.
