SPLC Statement on House Decision to Delay Vote on NO BAN Act
The following statement is from Melissa Crow, senior supervising attorney with the SPLC Action Fund:
“While the delay of the vote on the NO BAN Act is disappointing, our unwavering commitment to strike down this signature piece of Trump’s bigoted agenda persists. The Muslim Ban actualizes the worst of the Islamophobic and xenophobic beliefs that run rampant in the Trump administration.
“Advocates and communities have fought this hateful and discriminatory policy for three years, and we won’t stop now. We must remain vigilant until the day the NO BAN Act is law. Until that day, thousands of Muslim, African and immigrant families will remain unjustly separated. The House must reschedule the vote on the NO BAN Act immediately.”
