For-profit colleges are, by definition, in the business of making money instead of the business of providing quality education and job training. Their aim is to create profit for their owners and investors, often to the detriment of their students.
They saddle students with student loan debt, but don’t provide them the training or education they need to obtain employment in their chosen field.
These schools have been exposed for deceptive and abusive recruiting practices targeting veterans, low-income students, women, and students of color.
